Аннотация: The Plenipotentiary Representatives of the President of the Russian Federation in federal districts have broad range of powers, including state control, and they form one of the most contradictory elements of the “vertical of power”. The article includes an attempt to analyze some elements of legal status of such representatives, regarding their control functions, offers solution to some normative imperfections, including those in the sphere of structuring the elements of legal status.
